The power of a mentor cannot be overestimated.
Being able to tap into the wisdom of someone who has gone before you in your journey, who helps you avoid costly mistakes, and upgrades your level of thinking, is priceless.
If you think you can’t find a mentor to help you out, you’re ignoring one of the greatest sources of mentorship in the world.
The simple book.
The amount of mentorship and guidance you can find through reading is something that nobody should underestimate. Being a voracious reader is singlehandedly responsible for my success. If I hadn’t read all the books that I’ve read, I wouldn’t know the things that I do. If I didn’t know the things that do, I wouldn’t have made some of the decisions that led me to where I am today.
That’s why I’m starting a weekly book recommendation series to share with you all of my favorite books and the mentorship I gained from them.
Book of the Week
It’s hard to know which book to start with as there are so many to choose from. However, no book has been as responsible for my career as the Four Hour Work Week by Tim Ferriss.
I have a ragged and torn copy of the first edition that’s traveled around the world with me, from Iceland to Spain and all the way to the USA. It taught me the basic principles of online business and how to make money online. I basically followed every single piece of advice in that book in one way or another to get to where I am today.
Highly recommended for anyone interested in escaping the 9-5, gaining location independence and making money while they sleep.
I’d love to hear your book recommendations. What’s the last book you read that had a drastic effect on your career?
